Little Furry Things is a Liverpool-based, genre-bending outfit that consists of Alex Hannah, John Smethurst, Sam Holmes and Oliver Stevens and they have returned this year after a four year hiatus, with some “loud music to commute to”.
Their latest release ‘Marmite’ is an Indie Punk Rock amalgamation that transforms into an impressive earworm of noise. The song starts with a subtle instrumental before launching us into a beautifully calm but chaotic verse about missing someone who is no longer around.
Alex Hannah explains that “to me, Marmite sounds like Johnny Cash being played loudly through a busted speaker - or at least that’s what the intention was when I was making it. It’s a fuzzy waltz and you’ve never heard Little Furry Things so heartfelt and sludgy”.
We totally agree and we are excited to see what Little Furry Things have hiding up their sleeves next.
