One of the most exciting new festivals to have emerged in recent years has to be Cosmic Cape, a field festival based in Capenhurst, Chesire that blends a mix of emerging talent from the local region with some cult favourites from the guitar band scene. Cosmic Cape 2024 takes place on July 20th
This year, Liverpool's The Lightning Seeds headline the festival, hoping to lift the post Euro's spirits with some nostalgic Mersey Pop and perhaps even a football anthem! There's also some retro returns from acts like Hooton Tennis Club and The Pigeon Detectives who'll be delivering that true Indie festival atmosphere.
However, arguably even more exciting, is the string of newcomers who fill the line up. Some of Merseyside's most exciting acts such as PIXEY, Keyside and Sterling Press are backed up by the next wave of local talent in the form of artists like The Drivers Club, Isabelle Mettle.
However, this is not a strictly local line up. Vibrant quirky-Pop queen SOFY takes to the stage following her breakthrough EP 'Chaos and Commotion' from last year. Welsh outfit CVC are also not to be missed, offering a really eclectic and soulful range of influences that are sure to captivate in the live setting.
