moonsea has-yet again-truly blessed us with her new hauntingly beautiful single, ‘Power Cut’. Her frequent use of deeply personal themes within her music has clouded over this track, inviting us to both listen to and envision the topic at hand, or the “living room floor”.

The floatingly angelic vocals evoke a Phoebe Bridgersesque type of sound, adding to the impact of the heartbreakingly intimate lyricism on the immensely fortunate listener. The stunning build up of instrumentation as the song progresses pulls you deeper into Moonsea’s spell, transfixing us from the very beginning. 

Although ‘Power Cut’ in its entirety is absolutely magical, the final minute and a half of the song really works to capture the real sense of longing in the track, wanting to “stay here for weeks now”, with the sob-worthy feeling of yearning really blossoming in this section of the track. 

‘Power Cut’ is an insanely gorgeous tune and we cannot wait for more from moonsea.
