Playing the final night of their 2025 ‘Songs for the Spine’ tour, The Royston Club took to the stage at Mountford Hall on December 13th. Having sold out every date of their UK tour this year, The Royston Club ended their performances in their home from home, Liverpool. Originally from Wrexham, the Indie band have taken the UK’s music scene by storm, playing festival after festival and heading out on an extensive run of UK and EU tour dates in 2026. Finding huge success following the release of their second album, ‘Songs for the Spine’, earlier this year, The Royston Club are showing no signs of slowing down.

Supported by Permanent (Joy), Mountford Hall was packed from early on, as crowds took in the support act and the electric atmosphere inside the venue. With chants of “Royston, Royston, Royston” ringing out, the band had a huge wave of energy and support to walk on stage to. As anticipation increased, the band appeared, kicking off the night with the iconic riff from ‘The Patch Where Nothing Grows’, which had fans jumping up and down from the very first note.

The Royston Club played a strong mix of songs from both of their albums, but it was only right that this tour showcased the best of ‘Songs for the Spine’ live. As the band switched between anthemic tracks like ‘Glued to the Bed’ and more poignant moments such as ‘A Tender Curiosity’, The Royston Club proved with every song their talent, lyricism, and growing versatility as a band.

As the end of the set approached, fan favourites ‘I’m A Liar’ and ‘Cariad’ took centre stage. As ‘I’m A Liar’ got the crowd singing and dancing, the shared emotion of ‘Cariad’ united the room as one. A sensational song carrying heart-wrenching lyricism, ‘Cariad’ has become one of The Royston Club’s most successful tracks to date. As people got on shoulders and everyone sang their hearts out during the bridge, ‘Cariad’ ended the night on an unforgettable note.

The Royston Club’s final performance of the year was exceptional, proven by the deafening response to every song and the band’s nonstop energy, which carried through the crowd from start to finish. With many more performances already lined up for next year, The Royston Club continue to go from strength to strength.
