Néomí

Dutch-Surinamese singer-songwriter Néomí returns to the music world with her new heartfelt single, ‘Close’, offering the first glimpse into her upcoming EP ‘Crunchy, Sad and Strangely Happy’, set to release on the 18th September 2026. ‘Close’ explores the reality of being in a relationship that has run its course. The honesty Néomí delivers is extremely refreshing and intimate. 

The song opens with stripped-back vocals and a simple, but catchy rhythm played on the guitar, helping preserve Néomí’s signature intimacy. As ‘Close’ unfolds, the arrangement expands into a full-band performance, building both intensity as well as evoking emotion. The instrumentation of the song mirrors the weight of the lyrics perfectly, creating an immersive experience for the listener. Rather than relying on dramatic moments, Néomí allows her song to breathe. Using silence and space as an effective way to make the song feel less like a performance and more like a conversation. ‘Close’ is available to stream on all platforms, while ‘Crunchy, Sad and Strangely Happy’ arrives on 18th September 2026.

Nazire

Turkish artist, Nazire, submerges us into her Shoegaze pool through her latest single  ‘Leech’, where we willingly drown in her ethereal dreamscape of flickering sounds. Guitar melodies twinge, twinkle, and quiver as they loom over the entrancing bleakness of bass sounds, while electronic drumbeats gorgeously mutate, creating a hypnotic rhythm. Fitting to its title, the track becomes attached to our being, unable to shake the chicness as we are drawn to ‘Leech’s’ unpredictability; Where will the track run next?

Instrumentally volatile and uncanny in all the right ways, Nazire’s vocals add a refreshing tone, but still completes the track's beautiful strangeness. Dreamy toned, the 23 year olds manipulated vocals form a smooth layer over the oscillating backdrop as the track continues its lap around the channel of innovation. Throughout ‘Leech’, our eardrums bend, twist, and turn on this venture into Nazire’s matrix of Shoegaze, Indie, and Low-fi, showing that her sound cannot be boxed into one package, but many all at once.

Sasha Adrian

Danish Indie-Pop artist Sasha Adrian is back with another hit single ‘wish that i had called u’. The nostalgic summer track combines Sasha Adrian’s signature confessional lyrics with a catchy riff that makes you want to put the song on repeat all day long. An ode to best friends of teenage years gone by, Sasha Adrian reminisces on the “liberating euphoria of a 17 year old’s Saturday night”. While the setting of the song is an illicit house party, ‘wish that i had called u’ looks back on two best friends who have grown apart due to distance and timing, and wishing that closeness could be rediscovered. 

Sasha Adrian describes how when the song began it was a melancholy track due to the nostalgic lyrics full of regret. However, after working on ‘wish that i had called u’ with her band, it instead evolved into the upbeat track we can now all listen to, driven by strong guitar riffs and a punchy drum beat. The single ‘wish that i had called u’ follows her other 2026 release ‘Always, Almost’, an Indie-Rock track ruminating on a relationship stayed in for too long. This consecutive release of singles is hopefully building up to an EP announcement so we can hear more of Sasha Adrian!

Mary Middlefield

Mary Middlefield’s sophomore album, ‘Will You Take Me As I Am?’, explores the complexities of identity, relationships and validation. Finding catharsis in creativity, her album was released on March 6^th and has garnered significant praise and visibility.

Raw and unfiltered, the first single released from ‘Will You Take Me As I Am?’, ‘Wake up!’, investigates Mary Middlefield’s inner thoughts. On discussing the track, she says: “This song feels like a conversation between me and that part of myself I wish I could love better.” Highlighting striking vocals and powerful drum beats, ‘Wake up!’ reflects her struggle with self-acceptance. Mary Middlefield’s latest album is a truthful representation of her growth, both personally and professionally, over the last few years. An album born from self-observation and contemplation, ‘Will You Take Me As I Am?’ is an admirable piece of work.

Steph Gold

German Alt-Rock artist Steph Gold wrings us dry with her powerful new single ‘Come Home’. A pleading track that wrenches our guts with her daring lyrics, Gold shares a vulnerability in yearning for someone's presence as her dynamic vocals and volatile instrumentals express a range of emotions, from heartache to anger. Like a yo-yo, ‘Come Home’ draws us in and out of intensity as the track begins with jittery drumbeats and echoing guitar tones; the calm before the storm. But it doesn't take long before these serene waters turn into a tsunami of shattering power chords, wiping us out with the force of shattering power chords as the black clouds of Alt-Rock darkness take form. 

The chorus reaps the lyrics “You need to come home / You know that I'm lost / Lost without you”, where Gold doesn't hold back in her bold projection as her smoky vocals deliver the heart of the track. Beautifully breaking down the track is the bridge where guitar melodies trickle with melancholia, and Gold’s vocals become soft as they slowly ring out, before the track ends in its final captivation of a sweeping explosive sound.

SALYA

SALYA’s voice becomes the comfort we didn’t know we needed in her latest single ‘TALK’. Described by SALYA herself as ‘a love letter to introverts’, the up-and-coming Indie-Alternative Pop singer perfectly captures the introvert experience in a spotlight-driven world. SALYA makes it clear that she ‘doesn’t want to talk right now’, but she doesn’t have to, this single says everything we need to hear. Building up from subdued restraint, the track rises to a raw, emotional release, embodying the feeling of social burnout. 

‘TALK’ starts out with SALYA’s almost melancholic vocals layered against a juxtaposing, hopeful sounding base coming from the jangly guitar which instantly dichotomises the song through lyrics that symbolise exhaustion and dreamy Indie-Pop textures. A dichotomy that is reminiscent of MARINA during her Electra Heart era. As the track unfolds, SALYA’s vocals meet the mood of the guitar and soft percussion, as she gains confidence in her discontent. Finally, the song culminates into a burst of feminine catharsis, dissolving the tension of pretend palatability before mellowing back out into a moment of relief.

The Bullseyes

Polish Indie-Rock duo, The Bullseyes have delivered a gorgeously cinematic track through their latest single ‘If Heaven Exists’, released on the 24^th of April. What begins as a melancholic soft Rock atmosphere, we hear Łukasik’s guitar solemnly simmering as his endearing vocals soon come into play, while we are percussion-less, aside from a few gentle taps of drummer Jarzabek's hi-hat. Yet, a storm of angst is brewing in the background, with a clear heaviness on the horizon.

Building up to this, we are exposed to the duo’s vivid lyricism, with lyrics like, “You look like nothing ever happened / With a mind much clearer than mine”.The Bullseyes then continue to aim straight for the heart with their words like gunshots, as they profoundly take the concept of dying, and somehow deliver it with hopefulness. Stealing the spotlight with its velocity, drums come thrashing into the downpour of the track’s bridge, where the guitar simultaneously erupts into a yearning solo, as Łukasik’s vocals explode with intensity. It is here where the message becomes its most raw form: “If Heaven exists / There’s no need to rush”, before we disintegrate into the lasting reaps of the echoing guitar sounds, ;eft with nothing but a nuanced perspective, and the lasting memory of The Bullseyes’ glorious musical experience.
