Newcastle's Cat Ryan return with new single 'Amsterdam'!

Newcastle indie outfit Cat Ryan have returned with their new single ‘Amsterdam’ this July. Combining the fun and and slick nature of Bedroom / Indie Pop, ‘Amsterdam’ presents an enjoyable intermix of rhythms, with winding guitar patterns and riffs that harmonise in tone with the vocals of the lead singer and songwriter Mary-Anne Murphy and are excited by a distinct and catchy bass. In the works for a long time, ‘Amsterdam’ was written in the early days of Cat Ryan, only now being released.

This gives the song an intrinsic reflective feel that comes with knowing the deep ties the song has to the band, alongside its pleasant sound and mellowness with its atmospheric synths and slight element of a 90s dreaminess that gratifies its listeners.
