Last week, Norwegian singer-songwriter Sigrid took over Manchester Academy to showcase her new infectious 2025 album 'There's Always More That I Could Say'. Her notable confidence and comfortability in the spotlight let the connection between herself and her audience prevail, driving an energetic set that underscored her undeniable enjoyment and on-stage prowess.

She kicked off her set with ‘I’ll Always Be Your Girl’, the opening track to the new album. The song is upbeat, dynamic and an overall epitome of Sigrid’s infectious joy and ability to enliven the room. She expertly got the crowd clapping along in unison as she transitioned into ‘Burning Bridges’.
A standout moment of the set was undoubtedly the title track of her debut album, ‘Sucker Punch’. It was during this song particularly that the crowd felt less like an audience and more like a welcome extension of her performance. Sigrid truly pioneered audience interaction in this show, as she got her crowd jumping, waving and singing back to her. This is an excellent reflection of her unfiltered joy and love for the live music scene, and this is something that resonated strongly with the crowd in this moment.

Her set was intricately designed to foster collective enjoyment and energy, whilst still leaving space for a brief ballad interlude. It is safe to say that Sigrid stunned the crowd here, silencing the room which left her alone on the stage with a single spotlight and piano. As she performed this solo piano section, ‘Home To You’ was a standout spectacle and testament to her commendable versatility as an artist. You could hear a pin drop, as her audience listened to every word she sang in what can only be described as true awe.

To end the night, Sigrid returned to her signature style, performing fan favourites ‘Don’t Kill My Vibe’ and ‘Strangers’. The energy that radiated off the stage and crowd felt almost tangible, as both Sigrid and her fans relished in the performance. Overall, it is safe to say that Sigrid delivered a set that both herself and her audience enjoyed from start to finish.
