Celeste has never sounded more majestic and enthralling than on her new album ‘Woman Of Faces’. We thought nothing could make those nine songs feel even more impactful until we got the chance to see her performing at them at her intimate album launch show at The Dome, Liverpool.

From the opening notes of the soulful ballad ‘This Is Who I Am’ the entire room was locked in, hanging on Celeste’s every word. This track was the perfect opening, introducing the cinematic, bond-esque drama of the album by beginning intimately and then growing into something expansive, expressive and powerful. The stripped back nature of the show did mean that the instrumental force of the album track wasn’t there but instead it made your attention focus fully on the insane vocal performance.
As she slipped smoothly through her songs, each and every one filled a magnetic emotion, she dipped back forth between a gentle soul and deep, raw power. Lyrically the album is a personal one and it really showed in her performance as every word was delivered with an authentic connection that was hard not to feel moved by.
The show proved to us that Celeste is one of the UK’s finest vocal talents and it was a truly magical experience seeing her perform in this intimate setting.
