Indie-Pop prodigy Eden Rain returns with new single 'Crashmat'!

Leeds-based Indie-pop prodigy Eden Rain returns with ‘Crashmat’, offering a raw, candid exploration of the challenge in “trying to be everything for everyone”.

It's the type of song that you can feel the artist’s presence in, as its textured production and delicate vocals work in perfect harmony to capture what Eden calls “that feeling of being stretched too thin”. Her lyrics vividly capture the experience of prioritising others at the expense of oneself; “everything feels like dying" she sings, as the pursuit of validation supersedes self-care - “I’ve always needed praise more than water".

While the song's easy clarity may not appeal to those seeking grand gestures or bold statements, it’s this very restraint that makes ‘Crashmat’ so powerful. The track's minimalist production allows Eden’s vocals to soar with clarity, evoking a sense of quiet power as her voice, simultaneously tender and resolute, draws listeners into her world of heartache and reflection. Her subtle pauses give the track the intimacy of a late-night conversation rather than a polished Pop song, whilst her audibly raw accent maintains the track’s authenticity, firmly rooting the track in its Yorkshire origins.

Following the success of her debut EP last year, ‘Crashmat’ further proves Eden Rain’s raw talent for turning personal hardships into relatable anthems. From her early days busking in Leeds City Centre to an upcoming headline show at London’s Moth Club, anticipation is high for her new EP - and if ‘Crashmat’ is any indication, it’s set to be outstanding.
