Japanese based Indie artist Sugar Rich releases new single ‘Summertown’. This is the fourth single from the forthcoming album, following the single ‘For A’.

Starting with a strum of a guitar and a whistle before the vocals come in. The Kooks inspired vocals and lyrics showing the artists influence from the noughties indie rock scene. Minimalistic drumming does the job and doesn’t take away from the nature of the song.

Harmonization between the vocals and backing vocals creates a blithesome environment. ‘Summertown’ isn’t a place, but a feeling which Sugar Rich perfectly captures. Simple but does exactly what it needs. A perfect feel-good song reminiscent of a childhood summer.
