The band Seera lives up to their name with the release of their newest single ‘Akhir Sarkha’, taking us on a musical journey to explore the ecological issues threatening the earth and its beings. Seera is an all-female quartet based in Saudi Arabia that produces thought provoking music in their native Arabic, through a blend of ancient Arabic sounds with modern Psychedelic-Rock.

‘Akhir Sarkha’ is part of a global collaborative project called ‘The Last Scream Initiative’ between Seera and EarthSonic. The initiative and this single act as a warning of the devastation that climate change, biodiversity loss and extinction will have if we do not act now, through a final cry for help from species that are already extinct and those close to extinction.
Seera combines the calls of species such as the panther, harpy eagle, white bellbird, manned wolf and many more with Desert-Psych textures which add gritty but floaty layers that mimic the natural world they are trying to save.
The transformative power of this single, from the fusion of genres, representing each member of the band, to the captivating Arabic lyricism will leave you in a meditative state of both awe and inspiration after just one listen.
