One of the standout alt. rock bands of the last decade, Wolf Alice recently released their fourth album, 'The Clearing'. The London-based band have grown from supporting small gigs in 2010, to an arena tour around the UK. The new album, 'The Clearing', showcases the duality of their music, ranging from the dreamlike atmosphere of 'Just Two Girls', to the adrenaline-charged 'White Horses'. Their songs range from intense and dramatic to delicate and eerie.

Wolf Alice started the night with their new songs, ‘Thorns’, ‘Bloom Baby Bloom’, and ‘White Horses’. Creating a high-energy atmosphere around the Arena. ‘Bros’ and ‘You’re a Germ’ energised the crowd with beloved songs from their first album. The evening featured a blend of their new material and fan favourites like ‘How Can I Make It Okay’, which showcased the bands’ transition throughout the years, and their range within their discography.
A highlight of the night was 'Yuk Foo' and 'Play the Greatest Hits'. The ferocious tracks burst a feeling of frustration and rebellion throughout. The punk-fuelled 'Play the Greatest Hits' thrust a chaotic adrenaline rush, with a hint of Manchester included with Ellie Rowsell, saying "Play Wonderwall" between verses.
The return of ‘Silk’ into their touring set list proved well-received as the soft song with ethereal vocals created a feel of intimacy throughout. The energy of the evening progressed as the band played 'Giant Peach', reinstating that angry distorted feel from earlier.
The encore of 'The Last Man on Earth', and 'Don’t Delete The Kisses', embodied a perfect ending to a perfect night at the AO Arena. Wolf Alice’s performance was a testament to their evolving discography shown throughout their albums and their intense performances at their concerts.
