Swedish Post-Punk outfit, Tibia, have released their third single ‘Molly in Mexico’ in anticipation of their debut album release. This song is a perfect blend of its wide ranging influences from MGMT and Gorillaz to grittier American Post-Punk and Surf acts.
The two friends, Vide Willemark and Elias Sahlin, created Tibia as a project that is rooted in the threads of friendship that bind us together. With its funky, can't-help-but-dance tune and nostalgic undertones, this is a soundtrack for those warm summer nights surrounded by mates. It’s a blast in the car with the windows down kind of song. It describes the all-too-real sensation of opportunities missed and connections short lived, depicting a state of impatience for life to change...perfect for those of us who reminisce.
This is a band that is well worth waiting for, but we won’t have to wait forever, their full length project will be revealed in 2025..Stay tuned!
