‘Pull Over, I’m Ready’ from Bad Tide’s newest EP ‘Bad TV’ is an incredibly catchy tune which showcases Bad Tide’s brilliant ability to bring the sounds of beach rock into the 21st century. Singalong choruses are combined with a complex, layered sound for the perfect danceable rock song.

For a three minute song, a lot of ground is covered. The track opens with twangy guitar and hoarse vocals, giving it a Country feel. The guitar becomes more melodic and smooth, with choruses and harmonies that feel more Pop-Rock. The song reaches its best point with a whining guitar solo and punchy baseline, accompanied by driving drums, becoming a Grunge-y Garage track straight out of the 90s. It shows some real skill to be able to move so quickly through the sound without completely losing the listener. This high-energy song is deceptively fun, with the lyrics telling a sad story of loneliness and heartbreak.
