Discover the moody Post-Punk sounds of Italian outfit Leatherette!

Cormac O'Carroll

Italian quintet Leatherette have once again delighted the European Indie scene with their new single, 'Delusional'. This latest offering presents a poignant tale of unrequited yearning intertwined with a sense of recurring delusion, as the title aptly suggests.

This track carries Post-Punk motifs and dark melodies throughout, culminating in an unrelenting air of heartache. The recurring line, "Delusional as it might seem, we're living the dream" captures the struggle between idealised love and harsh reality. Subsequently, the following verse addresses themes of isolation and hopeless waiting – met with an instrumental section that carries equivalent emotive weight to the song’s lyrical elements.

The song's darker themes reflect emotions many of us hesitate to confront directly. It expresses these feelings in a way that resonates deeply, making a track we can't help but want to listen to over and over. Carving a more unique sound following every release, 'Delusional' embodies Leatherette’s sense of overwhelming potential.
