Bristol’s own Indie Rock sensations, Langkamer have proven with new singles ‘Deansgate’ and ‘Easterly’ that they have truly mastered a classic retro guitar sound that thrives in tandem with expressive lyrics and vocal harmony.

We are lulled into a false sense of security by ‘Deansgate’, the gentle thrumming begins carrying its beloved indie retro charm. This illusion is broken as the lyrics evoke something dark beneath their surface and guitar instrumentals strike down. The effect is captivating. Still, there is a tenderness to it, “saw this and thought of you” repeated longingly is an emotional hook that tugs and tugs.

‘Easterly’ instantly has a lightness to it, more optimistic and immediate, despite the lyrical contradictions. There's the hope of “living in the moment” grounding the song, making this a perfect hype track and a true head-nodder.

With Country influences peppering their sound, Langkamer have achieved a thrumming reinvention of '90s-style Grunge. Signed with Breakfast Records, the four-piece are on the track to greatness with upcoming album ‘No’ releasing on 22nd January and a tour later this year.
