Manchester based singer/songwriter BB. Green has been honing his musical talents for over 15 years now. Originally beginning as a drummer, he now takes centre stage and has been penning his own tracks with his new solo project in recent years. 2022 has seen him keep up momentum with two new singles 'Morning Sun' and 'Speckled Rose'.
The first is an uplifting summer sing-along Indie hit that is packed full of jangly guitar lines perfectly suited for warm, carefree days spent day-drinking with friends. It radiates a bright freedom comparable to SPINN's debut album that you can't help but smile too. The vocals are infectious too, injecting a sense of optimism into your life however you may be feeling.
'Speckled Rose' on the other hand, is much more contemplative in tone and realist in lyricism. However, it still does radiate a positive energy as his vocals ring true with authentic love-filled emotion. Fans of The Rifles or The Sherlocks will be keen to sing this chorus back at a festival stage. Slightly heartbreaking at times but on the whole full of honesty and heartwarming passion.
Two great songs that demonstrate both sides of BB. Green's emotive range!
